The John R. Fetcher Hydroelectric Power Plant, located at the base of the Stagecoach Dam, can generate up to 800 kilowatts (kW) of energy, which is enough to power approximately 100 homes annually.

Power generated at the John R. Fetcher Hydroelectric Power Plant is purchased by Yampa Valley Electric Association (YVEA) and stored on their power grid to service local communities.
